Era of style

In the early 60s people dressed more on the plain and conservative side. They were also really stricked on the way the women dressed in the beginning. The women dressed basically the way their husbands wanted them to dress. To me I think that's ridiculous. Men wore whatever they wanted and around that tyme was fitted suits and top hats. When president Kennedy didn't wear his hat to his inauguration it changed they way people dressed dramatically. Sales of hats dropped and they stopped wearing them. The 1st modern urban clothing came from England. Flat boots and shoes lots of black and white, and also a lot more make-up was worn and also a lot more skin was shown on the women. 1960 to 1965 it changed to more of a sleek style of clothing. Fashion will always have a reflection on our society. The late 60s liberation. The hippies were born in 1967 and originated out of San Fransisco. It was a tyme of rebellion and free spirit. Which was called "The me Decade" The beatles went to india and brought back a diffent style of clothing. the 60s was known as a trend.

!0 extra years

I feel like I've learned a lot about myself and life its self from this video. Jane started off by talking about the top 5 regrets people have before they die. Sum were I they wish they would have let themselves be happier, they wish they had the courage to express their true selves, and also wish they would have spent more time with their families. then she goes in and tell us by playing video games could have saved that. I had doubts until she broke it all down to me by telling me online computer games is a way to stay in touch with family all across the world playing video games with their children also would have been time well spent with the family also. Video game are also anti-depressants medically proven to help with anxiety and those depressed or even worst don't wanna live any more because of depression. That's where Post traumatic growth comes in hand with this it helps u find and know who u are now as a person, by having a purpose in life. Basically its the opposite of the 5 regrets. There are 4 kinds of strength 1)Physical resilience which is boosted by not sitting still 2)Mental resilience which is your will power 3)Emotional resilience self explanatory and 4)Social resilience Gratitude , shaking hands, and wanting to help each other. People that often use these 4 strengths live up to 10 years longer which changes my whole perception on life...

body language shapes who u are.....

I feel like this video was very helpful in many ways and I feel like she was an very intelligent woman. She talked about how u could make people feel a certain way by not only verbals but also body language is 80% of all communication. I didn't know just by siting a certain way in an meeting or even an interview can be a big part of succeeding. Some posture defects would be to hunch your back stay closed in and hands on neck. These make u look less powerful and indecisive of what u want. Good posture show that you actually know what u want and your dedicated to getting what u came for. Some examples sitting up straight making your body big hands behind the head just basically showing your a dominant person. Powerful people take more risks rather than sitting back and doing nothing. Testosterone is good shows power. Cortisol shows weakness and isn't good in any situation.  I also learned that tiny tweaks can make big changes. What that means is the small things your can do to help improve the way you carry yourself and look can make a very big change in how people look at you and most of all the way you look at yourself.

week 5 EOC: Doritos - Fetch 2013 Super Bowl Commercial

who what when where how

The commercial starts out with a guy that's basically baby sitting a dog for a friend of his. his friend or whoever hes dog sitting for specifically tells him in a letter not to play fetch with the dog obviously for a very good reason. So in the middle of the day the guy reads the note and decides that he really wants to disobey his orders not to do this. "Guess what he does next"? He picks up an Maxim magazine skips past the beautiful lady on the front and sees a tasty bag of Doritos so he goes and say fetch me some Doritos the dog comes back with exactly one Dorito because that's what he told him to do in the first place. Him being a man he feels obligated to more Doritos and whatever else he wants to get by telling the dog to fetch it. He eats the chip and obviously wants more so he tells the dog to fetch him a bag of Doritos, and sure enough the dog instantly fetches him a big bag of Doritos. Now the man is super excited and has an genius idea. Hes now lonely and has no one to share the big bag of chips with so he goes back to the magazine and now notices the lovely lady on the cover and thinks the dog can fetch her bare naked. So he says to the dog slowly "fetch me a bare", he didn't finish the sentence he was suppose to have said bare naked lady but the dog just heard "bare" but didn't comprehend what type of bare he was talking about. So instead of a bare naked lady he brings him a huge grizzly bear and finally finds out why the friends left the note specifically telling him not to play fetch with the dog. I think this commercial shows that people don't listen to what others ay they would rather find out for themselves and sometimes the outcome may be not worth it.

week 4 EOC: Role of women in contemporary advertisement

I think this ad on the left is showing how much ladies nowadays will do any and everything to look the best they can possible. Little do she know its really making her look worst than she already do. I think this ad is degrading to other women and making them look bad. But also she is motivated to get the money she needs for her new boobs. I don't know anyone nowadays that would have the nerve to do this. But seeing this ad might catch other women attention that also wants boobs bigger and might start a trend. I think she should work for them if she really wants them a hard working women deserves to have what ever she wants and desire not someone walking around half naked with a sign to collect money for something she wants not even needs. "A need is generally referred to, in economics, as something that is extremely necessary for a person to survive." in her case its not what she needs its what she wants. "On the other hand, a want is something that a person desires, either immediately or in the future". The ad on the right is the complete opposite its  leading more towards natural beauty and u should be happy with the way you were born because your natural beauty cannot be measured. I agree on that but also I think working out and staying in shape is also a part of natural beauty because its still your body but you've just improved yourself. I think this ad motivates other women to want to stay fit and healthy and stay in shape naturally and not having surgery or putting any objects in their body to look beautiful sexy or whatever you want to call it. Me personally id rather see someone work on their bodies themselves rather than do surgery to fix their problems or flaws. But others may feel the opposite everyone has flaws and everyone has an opinion but the truth and fact is cant no one make you better but yourself. "We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves".  ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

week 3 EOC: Tobacco advertisement

Tobacco advertisement:  Tobacco smokers and non tobacco smokers think about about the smell they give off after being around the smoke a lot most tobacco smokers use gum to kind of kill or minimize the smell of smoke when they are around others. This ad shows a guy blowing smoke into this ladies face, and it seems as if she likes it or docent mind too much. This is because they are promoting flavored tobacco that smells better than regular and a smell that everyone would love to be around and having not to worry about what their breath or cloths are smelling like smoke. They are also saying that if u smoke these and blow it into the lady u like face she will follow u everywhere, somewhat saying that this is the cool thing to do or even the best way to get the ladies. They also make multiple flavors such as Grape, Cherry, Blueberry, and Mild. I think they did this to catch attention of different peoples eyes. Some may like cherry some may hate cherry and want to try a different flavor or maybe they like all flavors and may buy more to have a different selection of taste. The ad also says you'll get an smoking addiction without even inhaling. Some people may not even want to inhale they just by them because they want a specific taste in their mouths. Notice that the people are middle aged and the lady is obviously beautiful. this ad is defiantly craving and makes guys want to use this product. This ad seems to be targeting the men also. To get men to buy this product to get what they want. So basically their point of view is to get men to buy this tasty product because for one it tastes good with all four flavors, and two it'll help get the girl of your dreams to follow you around all day because shes addicted to not u but the smell of your tobacco.

1. Determine the scenario: What happens in this frame? 2. What is the setting? What are the conditions? 3. Who are the people or groups? 4. What is their point of view around this specific experience...

Week2 EOC: Health Insurance

Health insurance:
The way i would go about selling and advertising my health insurance company is to first start with supply and demand. I would start by finding the needs and wants of everyone and see how they think and try to combine my ideas and thoughts into also. I would also make special and separate plans for the elderly teens and kids also. Lots of benefits for the elderly, medium benefits for teens and adults, and minimal for kids. I would do research on there health insurance companies and i would compete with their prices and benifits try to make it better or even close to the same so either way it will sell. Everyone in america needs Health Insurance ."Wondering if you have to buy health insurance because of the Affordable Care Act? Know how to get it without going broke? Find out if you have to have insurance, what will happen if you don’t get it, how to enroll in Obamacare, and how to get help paying for it."  When the affordable care act kicks in Jan.1, 2014 each state will be required to offer its residents access to health care insurance through an online market. So with that being said instead of people worrying about being mobile to get to the insurance companies i will also have an online paying and info center to help with their needs. “health insurance exchange.” Buying health insurance on an individual market could be confusing to some. However, with so much variation in plan design and coverage benefits comparison shopping has been nearly impossible. But by making Health insurance quotes it should make it easier to deal with. "A health insurance quote is an option or options provided by health coverage companies or providers. This quote can be flexible depending on many factors, including pre-existing conditions, age, health practices, and overall health of the applicant". With this and small little steps such as obtaining your medical records should make it a lot easier to estimate your costs for ur insurance.

Week 1 EOC; Volkswagen Lemon

Volkswagen Lemon:
Whats important to me about this ad is them trying to get the people to buy and sell a car that is basically made by adolf hitler after a decade and half of world war 2. It started a new way of advertisement byusing playboy. They also get the attention of people less fortunate and tell them that the lemon needs less maintenance than other cars and smaller with a lot of space. It also states that it'll last a lot longer. “All of us who professionally use the mass media are the shapers of society. We can vulgarize that society. We can brutalize it. Or we can help lift it onto a higher level,” Bernbach is considered the father of "creative Revolution". The question is why is adolf hitlers favorite car made by jews, and why can they be sold in the U.S. I think its not a big deal anymore after all this time has passed every one loves money and to do that people will do anything for that profit. If i had a choice even tho the car is more affordable and easier less gas i would still go with something different bigger and better just not my style.
